Disclaimer:
I was given the unit by KEEPHiFi for the purpose of a review. But my opinions are of my own and KEEPHiFi has no input in this review. I didn’t even disclose to them the unit has already arrived and am already in the process of reviewing so shhh lol! The iem can be purchased here: https://keephifi.com/products/ccz-t...eTrAlxQozck-rjr72nMoIbfiSCiCBM7PjROzH6ki97MUd
A little bit out me:
I have been in the hobby for more than a decade. I am someone who has built quite an eccentric flock of iems of which are tailored to my equally eccentric tastes. I have owned multi kilobuck iems and likewise budget entry level iems. I have listed the iems I've owned and have had owned in my bio. My music preferences as of late has been nothing but K-pop.
Introduction:
From what I’ve gathered so far, CCZ is a sub-brand of KBear. TianGong CZ10 has a driver configuration of 1 x 10mm Dual Magnet PET Diaphragm Driver For Low Frequencies and 4 x BA For Mid-High Frequencies. It comes in only one color, black and has 2 configurations, one with a mic and one without. CCZ also boasts a lot of the precision crossover tech along with the full metal design with gear inspired aesthetics (I’ll share my thoughts about these 2 highlights later on). It has an impedance of 16Ohms and a sensitivity of 102Db @ 1Khz. A Zinc Alloy shell and a Silver-plated OFC Cable.
Unboxing:
TianGong comes in a small rectangular box and opening that the contents are as follors:
2 x In Ear Monitors
1 x Silver-Plated Oxygen Free Copper Cable (Terminated @ 3.5mm)
3 x Silicone Ear tips
1 x Foam Ear tips

Specifications:
Driver Configuration: 1x10mm Dual Magnetic PET DD + 4 Balanced Armatures
Impedance: 16Ohm @ 1KHz
Sensitivity: 102Db @ 1KHz
FR Range: 20Hz - 20KHz
Shell: Zinc Alloy
Cable: QDC Style 0.78mm 2 pin Silver-Plated Oxygen Free Copper terminated in a right angle 3.5mm standard TRS (mine did not come with a mic)
Build:
TianGong Comes in a VERY sturdy and robust, yet lightweight, Zinc Alloy shell. It has a matte black finish with a plastic window covering the cog inspired design giving the faceplate a 3D like finish! The monitors remind me of the QDC x FitEar Superior EX and my late 64Audio Tia Fourte in build and look (more with the superior than the fourte).

Cable:
The cable is quite long but is very supple and soft. It has premolded Ear Hooks which doesn’t quite fit either of my ears. I have to constantly readjust them to keep the iems from falling off! But on the bright side it is mirophonic free and is quite easy to readjust.

Fit and Ergonomics:
Disregarding the cable, the monitors are very contoured making ergonomics a non-issue. The seems are smooth do not get in the way. My only issue being the QDC style 2 pin connectors, it makes for some rather limited cable options and will be a considerable weakpoint in the overall iem’s longevity. If the 2 pin was slightly elongated like on my Unique Melody 3DD-Ti’s the fit would’ve generally been better.

Sound:
Onto the most important part of any audio review, the best way i can describe the general signature of the TianGong would be a neutral sound with a bit more emphasis towards the upper frequencies.
My setup for this writeup has been: Laptop/Ipad > Chord Mojo2 > AudioQuest Tower 3.5mm to RCA > PSAudio Sprout100 > Mix of Offline Library/Tidal
Treble:
I find the treble to be very good albeit with a dip at around 7k-9k i found it jarring at first but it gradually made sense to give the overall signature lesser chance of sibilance along with a more spacious feel. Treble is generally very well extended with enough bite to avoid sounding dull and boring. There is also a subtle 3k spike which gives a really nice sense of clarity and energy to vocals.
Midrange:
With the absence of midbass, TianGong’s midrange sides more towards the leaner camp meaning female voices will be more at home here rather than deep husky voices. It’s not the most natural nor most detailed but it’s midrange is generally quite neutral and inoffensive blending quite beautifully with the treble and lower frequencies.
Bass:
With the stock cable i find bass very linear with enough oomph to avoid sounding, sorry for the lack of better words, limp. It’s VERY controlled which is uncharacteristic for a 10mm driver. It’s pleasant and enjoyable but questionably lacking. I’ll cut the explanation of it here for now (i’ll expound more under cable rolling since its more of a cable characteristic than anything).
PRaT:
Pace, rhythm and timing is very good here! With the lack of midbass to bog things down, I’m finding the pacing to be very good! A bit fast but nothing to really complain about. It’s not razor sharp so as to constantly remind you that a note has stopped but it blends harmoniously with everything else.
Soundstage:
I find TianGong to have very a diffused soundstage. There’s not much if any resonance here to bounce things off from. Instead it sounds very natural, often forgetting im wearing in ears rather than bigger transducers like headphones or better yet, speakers.
Imaging and Layering:
I find the imaging and layering quite good here. Despite the lack of midbass to amplify imaging, i can quite easily ppinpoint where things are. It’s not hazy nor that planted imo, it’s quite middling but honestly not something to complain about rather it should be lauded! Reminds me of my akg k3003 and 64audio tia fourte in that regard.
Cable Rolling:
This section is very highly controversial so feel free to skip if you don’t care about such things.

Han Sound Muse II ($200):
The Muse II is an old cable from say 2018 (if memory serves me right). It is made of OCC Litz Silver Plated Copper which is similar to TianGong’s stock cable. Muse II varies quite differently from Stock in almost everything!
- Overall signature: It’s now a warmer more energetic bordering U-shape signature.
Treble: Muse II goes for a more smoother approach while still keeping the 3k bump retaining the energetic clarity.
- Midrange: With the bump in the lower midrange, the overall signature now is both warmer and thicker. There is a bit of congestion now with the midbass up front and center.
- Bass: Alongside the midbass bump, subbass also gets an upgrade. Now being more pumchy, bigger, more visceral. Now what is missing is the texture from stock’s.

Effect Audio Thor II ($400):
An even older model from 2016, This used to be my favorite cable for the neutral sound it gives with nothing but a mid range bump brought by it’s Pure Silver Litz Build.
- Overall Signature: A meatier version of stock’s. It is now smoother and thicker.
- Treble: Smoother than stock but retaining the bite and sizzle more than muse ii. The 7k-9k dip being more noticable being the downside.
- Midrange: Thicker, smoother but retains the slightly cooler tonality of stock’s.
- Bass: There is more subbass but again nowhere near muse ii. It stays true to stock’s interpretation while only improving n the transients.

Effect Audio Eros S ($300):
My favorite bang for the buck cable, released back in 2022, was the cable that i gladly quit audio along with my aural definition kyrios pro+ iem! It is an even more neutral cable than the thor ii could ever be. Only improving on transients and technicalities! It is made up of 26 AWG UP-OCC Silver and Copper Litz Strands.
- Overall Signature: True neutral! It is fuller sounding, without much an alteration in the treble region. Midrange is smoother while giving much needed attention to huskier vocals making them sound accurate bass also rounds out more.
- Treble: More bite without making it any more sharper. More condensed sounding.
- Midrange: Smoother more textured, more dynamic
- Bass: This is how i was thinking a 10mm dual magnet driver should sound! Full, controlled, textured, without any bleed to the upper regions.
This is my favorite sounding pair up as well!

Conclusion:
I think what CCZ was after with this release was a true EDC champion. Its not exactly winning any awards in either of the categories (well build is clearly 100/10!) but what it does exponentially well is as an everyday carry iem. It has a very fatigue free sound with enough enjoyment to keep your toes tapping without ever calling attention to itself. This iem has probably clocked in more hours than any of my iems for the last 2 months lol. Such an easy to listen iem especially with the stock cable.
