EarAcoustics Audio is an emerging brand dedicated to crafting high-fidelity in-ear monitors with a focus on musicality, precision, and craftsmanship. Their products blend technical excellence with an emotionally engaging sound signature.
Sound Impressions:
Bass
Sub-bass:
The EarAcoustics Audio VSA-PM has well-executed sub-bass. The sub-bass is adequate and of good quality and quantity. It is not made for bass heads but is so well-executed that bass heads will enjoy it. Surprisingly, I enjoyed the ‘FUBU’ EP by Ikka more than on other IEMs, especially the song ‘Ambulance’ from the EP.
Mid-bass:
The mid-bass is surprising for me. It is one of the best in this price range. It is so fast that it makes every song very clean to listen to. The mid-bass does not overpower other frequencies. It has a fast attack and decay. The bass guitar in songs like ‘I’m a Disco Dancer’ by Vijay Benedict gave me goosebumps.
Mids
Lower Midrange:
The lower midrange, especially male vocals, sounds so beautiful in this IEM, just the right amount of warmth and detail. Lately, I am listening to ‘Humsafar’ by Akhil Sachdeva and Mansheel Gujral to test lower mids on IEMs, and on the VSA-PM, vocals feel so emotional and well done.
Upper Midrange:
Here I felt slightly that this area could be improved on the VSA-PM. The female vocals felt more forward than my taste and sometimes feel shouty and slightly harsh on songs like ‘Bai Ga’ by Arya Ambekar. This can be fixed by using a warm source to an extent.
Treble:
The EarAcoustics Audio VSA-PM has treble well-extended. It is so energetic that treble heads will love it. It packs so much detail it makes you fall in love with the treble, but sometimes it can cause fatigue during long sessions. I really enjoyed the treble on the EarAcoustics Audio VSA-PM.
Technicalities:
The soundstage is above average with good depth and height, it is very impressive at this price point. Imaging of instruments is accurate, and you can pinpoint their location in tracks. There is no overlapping of instruments in busy passages, and everything feels clean.
Conclusion:
The EarAcoustics Audio VSA-PM is a well-crafted IEM that delivers an engaging, technically strong, and emotionally satisfying experience. Its bass performance is outstanding for the price, mids are musical, and treble is lively with great detail retrieval. While there is a slight timbre issue and occasional upper-mid harshness, the overall tuning feels balanced and enjoyable. With its solid build, comfort, and one of the best stock cables in this range, the VSA-PM easily stands out as a highly recommended choice for those seeking musicality and precision in a single package.
