Outstanding Appearance&Ultra-high Process Production: To achieve precise acoustic structure and unique front and rear cavity design, TRI adopts CNC aluminum alloy material, supplemented by a higher precision anodizing process, balancing outstanding appearance and excellent cavity design.

Expansive and Transparent Sound Field: To achieve a more spacious sound field and an airy feel with balanced tuning, the Draco adopts open-back rear cavity, offering an expansive soundstage and airiness, along with excellent mid-to-high frequency response.

Balanced&Natural Listening Experience: To compensate for the low-frequency dispersion caused by the open-back rear cavity, TRI has designed a damper-type through-type front cavity and introduced superb low-frequency dynamic drivers. The excellent front and rear cavity design of TRI creates a balanced, natural listening experience with an expansive and transparent soundstage.

Superior Acoustic Design&Configuration: According to TRI's acoustic design, the 6mm titanium diaphragm dynamic driver is responsible for providing cohesive midrange and sparkling treble. To ensure the consistency of the low frequencies and a more stable and expansive acoustic performance, the low-frequency portion is handled separately by an 8mm diameter LCP diaphragm dynamic driver through electronic crossover. This ensures uniform density of sound between the mid-to-high frequencies and the low frequencies, resulting in superior tonal quality.

Cohesive Midrange for Intimate Vocals: An independent low-frequency dynamic driver ensures a balanced sound, while the meticulously tuned mid-to-high frequencies exhibit smoothness without any harshness, resulting in exceptional listenability.

4-strand OCC Silver-Plated Copper Wire: As the quintessential choice for balanced sound, OCC silver-plated copper material offers a remarkably stable and enduring audio experience. Copper material caters to both the texture of the low frequencies. Silver plating provides bright condensation properties for medium and high frequencies.

TRI Audio Draco–Clean Midcentric Budget

I really like how's Tri getting back on track; the IEM they released recently {I3 MK3}, in my opinion, marks the revival of Tri. It's currently my favorite for its smoothness and balanced tuning, very coherent with such hybrid configuration. Now Tri has released another IEM, which could be considered entry-level, priced at $59. In my opinion, it has a tuning that suits my taste; it maintains the smooth, balanced tuning just like its flagship i3 MK3, which is quite rare in this price range.

This IEM is powered by a 2DD configuration, with a 6mm titanium diaphragm driver + 8mm LCP diaphragm, which, produces a fairly natural sound. However, before discussing further to the sound, lets talk about the–Packging and Accessories first.

The packaging of this IEM is minimalistic; and also box dimensions is quite compact. Inside the box, there are:

- The IEMs
- 3 sets of eartips: 2 generic and 1 set of Tri Clarion.
- OCC cable, which is quite thin (a matter of taste).
- Tri case.
- And a manual.

Design & Build Quality:

the design of this iems kinda good, it remince me of shell of tanchjim 4u. The housing appears to be made of aluminum; while it’s light, for the price it feels solid, and it also features large vents in the front that contribute to an open sound profile, aka, open back. the cable in this iems has standard quality. it is ligtweight. but i just dont like this type a braided with plastic cover which also quite thin "matter of taste".

Note: Tri provided these iems at no cost. I am grateful to them for having faith in me to evaluate it. I want to clarify that my review is impartial, however, it reflects my personal views and preferences, making it subjective. Soo don't assume it as a given.

Sound Signature:

At first listen, these IEMs feel quite dry on some tracks, with a sound signature that balances towards a cooler tone. However, after some use (a.k.a. burn-in), cable changes, and finding the right tips, the drier tonal shifts slightly towards a more transparent, balanced, mid-centric tuning. This makes them particularly well-suited for modern music genres such as K-pop and J-pop.

I can’t say it’s bright nor warm; it’s quite balanced in my opinion. Some people who are used to a V-shaped sound profile might find it a bit boring at first, but I find this balanced sound profile fairly enjoyable.

The Bass is a soft spot of these IEMs. We can still hear good amount of the bass on these IEMs, including drum hits, and pluck the bass quitar still sounds quite nice. However, for people who like some pop funk or maybe EDM music and seek rich lows end, it may not be as satisfying due to its less deep bass, texture, which might divide opinions. despite its flaw i can say the bass is not flat; it has a slight emphasis but lacks in term of depth.

Despite that, the Mids are where these IEMs reclaim, its offering detailed, smooth sound that makes it easier to appreciate many modern music tracks. especially midcentric song focused ones, the upper also doesn't sound harsh, i don't find sibilance when listening to some kpop or jpop that's quite pronounced in some iems, especially in budget range, this IEM excels in this aspect.

Treble: The high frequencies are extended but not as extreme as those from planar drivers. While the highs are clear and resonate well, people looking for crisps and snappy treble especially who likes some high crash of cymbal or shreik of violin won’t find it here.. but for people who likes, clean, resonant treble will love how this iems sound.

How's this Teknicalites of this iems?.. I feel like the IEMs offer a quite wide soundstage due their open design, which also causes some sound leakage. The imaging is notably good, resolution is decent, offering quite reasonable detail for its price.. the timbre also is typical dynamic driver it's quite natural, nothing complain in this aspect in opinion.

pros:
+good balanced sound
+smoth very clean mid and treble
+open back design: offers wide soundstage
+midcentric or vocals lovers will love this
+sibilance free

cons:
-cable feels a bit thinner
-bass lacks of depth
-some might find it the sound a bit dry at first

Conclusion:

The TRI DRACO is characterized by its forward Midcentric sound with good clarity and a wide soundstage. However, its less deep bass might not suit everyone’s tastes, particularly those who prefer bass-heavy sound. It performs well with modern music such as jpop, kpop but might not be ideal for genres requiring deeper bass, and rich lows. If you’re not a bass-heavy listener and appreciate a clean, open sound, you might find these IEMs appealing. Also, finding the right setup, tips, and cables could improve the personal experience with these IEMs.
