EarAcoustic Audio VSA-V1 Reviews

Reviewed by andrija777

Pros

- look
- premium feel
- accessories

Cons

- weight
- some other IEMs at this price are also good for gaming, not just music

As yall might've already noticed by now EarAcoustic Audio have come out with some new stuff recently, today I'm writing about V1 from their VSA series coming with good looks

I didn't rly get the chance to unbox these so I will skip that part, I only want to say how zipper on carry case is rly good, not something you would expect on an IEM carry case, even at much higher price

Okay now starting with what I can comment on, the accessories, it comes with rly nice cable with interchangeable 4.4 and 3.5mm connections, kind of bulky for portable use but it's built rly well.

Silicone tips didn't rly work with these for me because they are kind of heavy, they are well balanced so you don't feel the weight once you put them in your ears but with silicone tips, 3rd party ones too they were coming out of my ears so I ended up using them with foam tips from FiiO which I would recommend everyone who got these to try because it got rid of little sibilance I was getting with the silicones probably because they were fitting snugly afterwards.

Sound:

it's warm-ish, it's like they were trying to make it sound like IE900 but at the last moment said "maybe not that much", below treble it rly sounds pretty similar to IE900 just not as detailed which is to be expected as one is $100 and the other one is $1700, but the difference is not THAT big, budget IEMs have come a long way in recent years

Lows: bass is trying to be punchy but it just misses that tactility, that is kind of one part you still can't get at this price, deep bass is doable but punchy bass has it's limits and it's very good here for the price even for 2x the msrp you aren't going to find something much better. It's fast, it's natural sounding and doesn't bleed into the mids enough to mask details, overall a pleasurable experience.

Mids: this is kind of where V1 shines, very natural, everything sounds clear, they got the tuning just right here very similar to IE900, there are other IEMs in this price range where female vocals sound as good but they usually end up with male vocals not being that good as a consequence, I'm glad to say that is not the case here, maybe not as good as female vocals but male vocals are good too and it's usable for podcasts and stuff like that too (I remember trying to watch a YT video on my CVJ Mirror 2 years ago and it was unbearable how bad mens voice sounded on those) LALISA from Lisa sounds amazing on these

Highs: it's playing on the edge here, almost too brights, almost sibilant, but it's not, it's smooth and engaging but because of this it might not rly be suitable to people who like to listen to music super loud. Highs too sound natural
soundstage: adequate for the price, it's not a class leader but it's not bad either, everything is where it should be, nothing is wrong with it, separation is also adequate, everything sounds natural once again

Summary of the sounds:

everything sounds natural, highs are on the edge , bit more and it would be too much so I would suggest these for people who don't listen to music very loudly
