So as TLDR the GENESIS is a V-Shaped iem but not as big a V as previous models with a lift in the upper mids to bring vocals to the fore.

What does GENESIS G318s as a name refer to?
"1.1 Cultural Inspiration: Paying Tribute to the "Scenic Avenue" Spirit of National Highway 318
China National Highway 318 (G318) is one of the longest east-west trunk highways in China, stretching 5,476 kilometers. It runs through the heart of China, connecting diverse landscapes such as plains, plateaus, snow-capped mountains, and canyons, and is renowned as "China's Scenic Avenue". Its characteristic of "crossing mountains and seas, embracing all things" highly aligns with the positioning of the GENESIS Series — "compatible with multiple music genres and delivering pure listening experiences". The brand thus drew inspiration from this highway to name some products in the Genesis Series."
There you go its more than just a vague number
Being a reviewer I try to give my subjective opinions on iems, in the hobby at the moment 95% of iems released at the moment are good a solid 4 stars in their price segment so the differences between great iems and good iems is all about the nuances. All reviews are based on a single point in time for the reviewer next week an iem can come along and make a mockery of your previous judgement.
The GENESIS an artistic masterpiece like the Silver Angel LTD without the crystal faceplates the faceplate is hammer finish, matching the rest of the suprisingly light shell, the body of the iem has a hammer finish design with an aviation grade aluminum shell. The packaging is beautiful with personalised engraved aluminum plates with unique serial numbers to make this feel like a truly flagship experience

The iem is supremely comfortable with a sound signature that is incredibly dynamic as well as bimg smooth with an emphasis on giving every detail of vocals with beautiful natural timbre and tone especially for female vocals . The Dynamic driver is the same extremely high quality as The Silver Angel series of iems. Tuned differently with a less extreme V shape, lots of quality bass and slightly boosted upper mids and treble. If you were one of the people that found the SPA series too bright then this set is probably for you. On the other hand if you like very Dymamic, with exciting treble sounds that wring every detail out of of cymbles and treble influenced instruments then the GENESIS might be too polite. If however you want an iem thats anologue, organic with very natural timbre and plays music in an egaging way then read on.
When I started to really listen I was mesmerised by the depth of the bass. Clarity of the mids and smooth extension of the treble. This is a flagship model thats half the price of the SPA Ltd while coming in a luxurious package with fab a leather luggage inspired carry case and very nice fabric cable.
The GENESIS presents music with an exciting, some might say old fashioned vinyl like style of warm smooth anologue goidness. I found the level and quailty of the bass intoxicating despite this V-shape overall signature they still manage to pull your focus to the mids specifcally the vocals. Male vocals are given good body from the mid bass while the female vocals are crystalline never straying into sibilance territory. Being a Dynamic Driver, my favourite type of drivers they are really cohesive with no jarring transitions between frequency ranges

Which opens up the subject I've been ruminating about for quite a while. Are iems in the higher price margings acutally imoroving in sound quality my opinion is, not really. What is happening is though is the more refined sound signatures and the tuning expertise of the Kilobuck companies is filtering down to the midfi £100 to £300 iems. There's never been a better time to invest in an iem like the GENESIS which is half the price of the Ltd Editions. In these days of two week life spans of iems where an iem is released hyped then forgotten about. I think this set of iems are going to be remembered as they offer a wonderful dynamic sound signature that is musical at an affordable price level that is not just the purview of the executive classes.
The EAA GENESIS 318s is a flagship DD of this new series of GENESIS branded iems which I feel are more competitive than the SPA series. The GENESIS G318s uses a. 8.3mm Titanium and Diamond coated dynamic driver and is priced at $250.
The beautiful all aluminium shell is very well built, exuding a premium appearance, as usual for me the incuded eartips did not fit my large ear canals so careful selection of eartips is needed to get a comfortable fit I settled on Divinis Velvet wide bore tips for a very comfortable fit with good seal so I could enjoy the sound they produce to its full effect. I'd just like to say upfront I believe we are all biased when giving our subjective thoughts about IEMs and earbuds be it a particular type of signature that works with our music library or how they look and feel in our ears. On the subject of ears everyone's ear anatomy is different and this effects fit and seal which in turn effects the perception of bass response so I recommend finding the right ear tips or foams that suit your ears to get the best of any earphone.

My review star ratings are linked to the price range of the iem eg a 5 star review of a $100 iem is not equal to one of a $500 iem. I’m and audio enthusiast with a collection of over 300 iems, 30 different sources with a music collection that numbers over 100,000 tracks and 18 flathead buds I share my impressions as a way to share my enthusiasm for the hobby I approach from the premise of music first technology 2nd, what does this mean? For me the technicalities are not of prime importance but does the music move me with this particular iem. I’m a connoisseur of many different sound signatures. The only prerequisite is musicality I’m not a fan of analytical cold playback. My scale of success when it comes to evaluating earphones is; do I get goosebumps when they playback my favourite tunes. There are many good earphones but do they give me goosebumps? Unfortunately I have a draw full of just good earphones.I want the earphone that I reach for without thinking because I instinctively know it will bring the thrill I’m seeking from my music.
The GENESIS G318s is close to a bass head sound signature they have a boosted bass that is commanding with good texture and excellent technicalities a very gripping presentation while being free of any unnatural tone, timbre, the bass is not boomy, it digs deep in the subbass region while also supplying enough mid bass slam with great texture and detail making drums, electronic bass instrumets exciting and engaging. I'm a closet Basshead and I was extremely satisfied with the forceful bass provided, The Bass is not to the detriment of the mids or treble regions in fact to balances out the slightly boosted upper mids and treble well. There's a lovely snap and clarity to leading notes across the frequency range with natural decay to draw you into the music. The mids have a glorious depth in playback making male and female vocals have a microscopic clarity there is no thinness rather a warm clarity that enhances the overall enjoyment. In the iem's description there's mention of sweet vinyl playback I feel this is a perfect description of what the EAA are offering here.
Now I know there are those who don’t believe in burn in of earphones, all I’m going to say is, I burn in all my earphones the GENESIS G318s the bass response tightened and the treble smoothed out at the 80 hour mark I didn’t hear any shift in the signature from there on.

EarAcoustic GENESIS G318S
The EarAcoustic Genesis G318s is not simply another high-end in-ear monitor. It is a philosophical statement about what modern personal audio should be: immersive, emotionally engaging, technically disciplined, and fundamentally musical. Designed around the concept of creating a “Private Concert Hall,” the G318s is built to transcend the idea of listening to a playback device and instead place the listener inside a complete acoustic space.
At its heart, the G318s represents EarAcoustic’s pursuit of a deeper goal than raw technical performance. It is not engineered merely to measure well or impress in short demonstrations. It is designed to create an enveloping, stable, and natural listening environment where music flows effortlessly and long sessions become not only possible, but irresistible.
This is an earphone for seasoned listeners who understand that true high-end sound is not about spotlighting details, but about recreating space, texture, scale, and emotional continuity.
A Design That Transcends the Idea of an Audio Device
The first impression of the Genesis G318s is unmistakable. Its shell is crafted from aerospace-grade 6063 aluminium alloy and shaped using high-precision 5-axis CNC machining. The surface then undergoes a complex, multi-stage process of hand polishing and electroplating, resulting in a distinctive meteorite-pattern metallic silver finish.
This finish is not merely decorative. It gives the shell a tactile depth and visual character that feels closer to a piece of functional art than a mass-produced audio product. Each unit has subtle variations in surface texture, reinforcing the sense that this is a handcrafted object rather than an industrial commodity.
The flowing curves of the shell are not only visually striking but ergonomically purposeful. Every contour is shaped to achieve both comfort and acoustic stability, with tolerances controlled down to 0.01 millimetres. The result is an earphone that sits securely, isolates effectively, and remains comfortable over extended listening sessions.
In hand and in ear, the G318s feels like a piece of wearable craftsmanship rather than simply a piece of electronics.
The Philosophy of the Private Concert Hall
The Genesis G318s is built around a clear and ambitious concept: to recreate not just sound, but space.
EarAcoustic does not describe the G318s as a tool for “sound fidelity” alone. Instead, it is designed to reconstruct the physical phenomena of music in space: the way instruments launch energy into a room, the way reverberation decays, the way sound diffuses and occupies volume, and the way positioning and distance create a sense of realism.
This philosophy underpins every part of the G318s’ design, from its acoustic chambers to its driver implementation and tuning approach. The goal is to move the listener beyond the awareness of listening through equipment and into a fully immersive “Transcendental Listening” experience.
A Flagship Single Dynamic Driver, Perfected
In an era dominated by multi-driver hybrids and tribrids, the Genesis G318s takes a different and far more disciplined path. It is built around a single, flagship-grade dynamic driver system.
The driver uses a high-performance titanium dome diaphragm paired with a diamond-coated suspension system. This combination provides exceptional rigidity, low distortion, and fast transient response, while preserving the natural, organic timbre that only a dynamic driver can truly deliver.
Rather than splitting the frequency spectrum across multiple transducers, the G318s focuses on perfecting coherence, timing, and phase integrity. The result is a presentation that feels seamless, continuous, and physically convincing, without the subtle discontinuities that often accompany complex multi-driver systems.
This is a design philosophy rooted in confidence: when a single driver is engineered to an extremely high standard and supported by a sophisticated acoustic structure, it can deliver a level of realism and musical unity that is extremely difficult to achieve by other means.
An Innovative Electro-Acoustic Architecture
To support its driver, the G318s employs an all-new electro-acoustic conversion system that departs from conventional architectures.
The internal structure is designed to carefully manage airflow, pressure, and resonance behaviour, guiding both the forward and rear wave energy of the driver in a controlled and orderly manner. Harmful internal reflections are minimised, and energy is dissipated smoothly rather than chaotically.
This results in a sound that is both clean and spacious, with a strong sense of stability across the entire frequency range. The driver is able to operate in a more linear and controlled environment, which directly contributes to the G318s’ low distortion, high resolution, and exceptional dynamic behaviour.
Dual-Core Tuning Architecture: Musicality Meets Accuracy
EarAcoustic describes the G318s as using a Dual-Core Acoustic Architecture built around the philosophy of “Vinyl Faith Tuning” combined with a standard reference frequency response curve.
This means the tuning is not purely technical, nor is it purely romantic. It aims to balance the warmth, density, and emotional weight associated with classic analogue sound, while still adhering to the rational benchmarks of modern acoustic engineering.
In practice, this results in a sound signature that is deeply musical but never vague, richly textured but never bloated, and smooth but never dull.
The Sound Signature: A Mature and Immersive Presentation
The low frequencies of the Genesis G318s are relaxed, expansive, and texturally rich. Rather than focusing on impact or aggressive punch, the bass is tuned to provide a foundation of weight and atmosphere. Sub-bass extends confidently, while mid-bass remains controlled and natural, supporting the music rather than dominating it.
The midrange is the emotional core of the G318s. Vocals are warm, full, and lifelike, with a density that gives instruments physical presence and body. There is no artificial forwardness or analytical thinning. Instead, the midrange flows organically, making acoustic instruments, strings, and voices sound convincing and emotionally connected.
The treble is silky, smooth, and carefully extended. Thanks to the excellent properties of the titanium dome diaphragm, high frequencies remain detailed and airy without ever becoming sharp or fatiguing. Harmonics are rendered with a gentle, refined sheen rather than an etched edge, allowing long listening sessions without strain.
Overall, the G318s presents music with a strong sense of calm authority. It does not shout for attention. It invites you into the performance and keeps you there.
Soundstage, Imaging, and Spatial Reproduction
One of the defining strengths of the Genesis G318s is its ability to create a convincing sense of space.
The soundstage is expansive and open, with excellent width, depth, and height. More importantly, it is structured. Instruments are not simply spread out, but placed within a coherent three-dimensional environment.
Imaging is precise without feeling artificially sharpened. Positioning feels natural and stable, and complex arrangements are presented with clarity and order. The sense of air between instruments, the decay of reverberation, and the layering of musical elements all contribute to the illusion of listening in a real acoustic space rather than inside your head.
This is where the “Private Concert Hall” concept becomes more than a slogan. The G318s genuinely excels at creating an immersive, spatially convincing listening experience.
Dynamics and Resolution
The Genesis G318s handles both macro-dynamics and micro-dynamics with ease. Large orchestral crescendos have weight and scale, while subtle shifts in phrasing and articulation are reproduced with delicacy and nuance.
Resolution is high, but it is presented in a natural way. Details emerge from the performance rather than being forced forward. This contributes to the sense of realism and reduces listening fatigue, especially over long sessions.
When paired with higher-quality amplification, the G318s reveals even greater density, control, and refinement, demonstrating that it scales meaningfully with better source equipment.
Cabling, Accessories, and Personalisation
The G318s is supplied with a high-purity silver-plated oxygen-free copper cable designed specifically to complement its tuning and technical performance. The cable uses a Litz-type coaxial structure with carefully selected insulation materials to balance transparency and musicality.
Each pair of Genesis G318s also comes with a unique serial number and supports personalisation services, reinforcing the idea that this is not a mass-market product, but a personal, long-term audio companion.
The included accessories and presentation reflect its flagship positioning and complete the experience of owning a truly special piece of audio craftsmanship.
Comfort and Long-Term Listening
Despite its solid metal construction, the G318s is designed for extended use. The ergonomic shell shape distributes weight evenly, avoids pressure points, and provides excellent stability in the ear.
Isolation is strong, and the nozzle geometry ensures consistent acoustic performance across different ear shapes. This makes the G318s suitable not only for critical listening at home, but also for long sessions at work or during travel.
Who the Genesis G318s Is For
The EarAcoustic Genesis G318s is for listeners who value immersion, musicality, and emotional connection over clinical analysis.
It is ideal for those who listen for hours at a time, who enjoy acoustic, vocal, orchestral, jazz, and richly produced modern music, and who want a sound that feels like a space rather than a spotlight.
It is also for listeners who appreciate craftsmanship, design, and the feeling of owning something that is both technically sophisticated and artistically meaningful.
Make sure to research any earphone before you buy!

What do they sound like? As I mentioned above they are am anologue. Organic vinyl lovers signature with big big bass, they played well with much of my library. The bass is boosted. present with enough sub bass to dig deep for bass driven tracks and midbass to give that extra bit of slam. The included cable a good quailty cable, i personally prefer a none fabric cable but i didn't notice any microphonics with thus cable which is a clear upgrade ti previous EAA cables.
The bass is meaty and dynamic, the quality of that bass is superb full of details and texture, there's a noticeable boosting in quantity but there's enough air to balance out the signature. The differences to the SPA LTD Edition are noticeable the GENESIS G318s being more even and sophisticated there's a nuance of less treble with no sharpness or fatiguing spikes the bass is in my opinion is bigger and more detailed than the SPA series.
The mids are warm, clean with a very smooth transition from the bass, there is a very pleasing body to males vocals the timbre is natural. Male vocals sound really good, very smooth with good air. Female vocals sound amazing, pure soaring crystal clear with a smooth roundness that adds to my enjoyment.
Treble and upper mids around the 5k region are rolled off slightly so badly recorded music can have jagged edges smoothed out. Cymbals sound natural with good decay, guitars are detailed with every resonance clear and sweet. A perfect iem for Yacht Rock, Classic Rock, Blues, jazz and acoustic music. Acoustic guitars sound just wonderful with beautiful transients that decay with perfection.
The timbre and tactility of drums, strings, guitars and brass instruments is very natural all instruments find their own place. Vocals both male and female are reproduced authentically with emotion, every inflection captured and served up on a shiney platter.
When I'm evaluating iems I have a play list of roughly 100 songs of mixed genres. With GENESIS G318s I was analysing the different frequency ranges listening to albums in their entirety. I found they I worked across most of the genres in my library always full bodied. smooth and detailed . They really excelled with Shawn Mullins, The White Buffalo, Led Zepplin, Rod Stewart, Lorde, Hozier, Journey, Foreigner with Punk and extreme metal they were a never fatiguing, I didn't need to take a rest after an hour with these jagged musical genres unlike when I listened with the SPA series.
Some of the music Selections I evaluated the GENESIS G318S with:
Shawn Mullins - Apocalyptic Blues
This track really shows what a well tuned Bass with clean mids and treble gives you with this tune with its anologue instruments inc guitars drums, bass and Salvation Army band , the staging really shines with intricate layering and superb depth you can picture the position of every instrument and shawn's voice in your minds eye gving an holographic out of head experience this iem is just perfect for this track.
Led Zepplin - Since i've been loving you
The ultimate slow burning power blues song with its live in the studio production is rendered to perfection from Bonham's iconic drum sound to Plant's sublime vocals dripping with emotion and clarity. Jimmy Page's arguably finest guitar solo is given centre stage, pesented with a special sauce that gave me goosebumps, so much so I replayed it several times in a row. Reminding me of listening to the vinyl on my big speaker set up
White Buffalo - The Woods
This one starts with a lush strings which the GENESIS G318s layered beautifully. Jake Smiths rich baritone vocals were on point the song slowly builds with new instruments being introduced as this slow ballad pics up pace Jake's authorative vocals stays front and centre with great depth, as the song becomes a multi-layered wall of sound the GENESIS G318s keeps the big production in control avoiding any congestion, with every nuance present and correct, impressively lush playback.
BROTHERS OSBOURNE – Slow your roll
The sound of waves lapping at the beach shoreline before the exquisite instrumentation starts was so realistic I swear I could smell the salty sea air. The instrumetal layering and rich baritone vocals are so real I felt the singers breath in my ear with the superb staging of instruments giving them space to linger in the air. I think you've got the idea I love this iem a little too much.
Dire Straights Private Investigation
A class track full of atmosphere this song is where the rolled off treble was just a little short of perfect i would have preferred the guitars to have a little more bite the overall warmth was just a little too much for this track. It was still enjoyable just not the best rendition in comparison to the SPA LTD which played this track perfectly though often strayed into sharpness on other teacks. So swings and roundabouts and good argument for owning both sets!
Tori Amos Conflake Girl -
this is the track made me fall in love with the GENESIS G318s the vocal reproduction of Tori's breathy soprano was just exquisite. Combined with the warmth from the bass giving the piano and other instrumentation a solid ground for her vocals to soar the space in the production giving the impression of being in a large room with Tori herself singing directly to me. Goosebumps!
The GENESIS G318s is reasonably easy to drive iem I had no issues using them with my, Daps, Dongles in getting loud enough, the dynamics and open sound was present with all sources the texture and layering they are capable of was available for all to some degree. They sounded best with nuetral sources. This is an iem that doesn’t necessarily need a powerful source but it does scale impressively with the bass getting tighter with even more details and texture.
I'm not a fan of analytical sounding IEMs/earphones that force details into your ears like a photograph with HDR and sharpening set at max a decidedly digital representation. I'm more Vinyl on a turntable, Leica manual focus, sumptuous colours on kodak colour gold film, kinda guy, where if you look really close all the details are there but it's the whole image you appreciate rather than just how sharp it is.

When using my different sources I did favour the more nuetral powerful ones the extra dynamics and layering and technical presentation was more apparent the iBasso DX340 with amp17 was sublime.
Comparison
I've already mentioned the SPA LTD edition so its the natural iem to compare.

A single Dynamic Driver iem that also has a beautiful shell the SPA LTD has a more pronounced V shaped Signature with more emphasis on the upper mids and treble. The overall upper area of the SPA LTD is more prominent especially in the upper mids and lower treble area adding more excitement to the sound. The SPA LTD iem is one of my favourite DD iems and until now was my first choice for vocal focused music. The GENESIS G318s have similar bass sound with more quantity but when it comes to the upper mids and treble is more forgiving of lower quality recordings giving an all round smoother playback. When it comes to atmospherics and emotion out of the vocals and especially acoustic guitars the GENESIS G318s does pull ahead more with its more smooth organic sound in comparison its "safe" treble tuning allowing longer listening session without any fatigue. When you realise that the GENESIS G318s is $200 cheaper comes with a nicer case and cable its a no brainer which one to get.

Conclusion
The GENESIS are a sophisticated V shaped iem with a small v. The organic lush vocals and acoustic guitars have honey dripping from them with the right music I literally used then for 8 hours and more without any fatigue absolutely enraptured by the musicality my music sounded so inviting and dynamic. With the "wrong" music (punk extreme metal) they can be a bit too smooth. Overall they are an all rounder set worth adding to your collection if you are hankering after those vinyl days of your youth or wondering what the old guys keep banging on about.
Recommend without caution, if you want a smooth bassy set that play vocals with emotion an iem that when used with the right source and music sound spectacular!
