today i will review c2.

- c2 2025
the iems feature a dynamic driver, 104 dB sensitivity, and 32 ohms impedance. When ordering the c2, you can choose to include either a 3.5 mm microphone cable or a type c microphone cable. I wish there was a microphone free option too, as I personlly don't prefer cables with microphones, except for the iems I use for gaming or daily use. No matter how much its effect is debated, I don't like the interference.
the type c version is slightly more expensive because it has a smll amplifier inside. If you don't already have an amplifier, it makes much more sense to pay the smll difference and order the type c version, which also comes with some equaliser features. I don't know how much or how little this model has, but some iems that come with a type c cable also have amplifier settings specific to that iems. By the way, we said 2025, meaning there is also an older, non-2025 flat model of these iems. How can we tell without looking at the box? If we skip the minor technical details, the easiest way to tell if a c2 is 2025 or not is whether it is black or not. If the iems are not black, you still can't tell because the non-2025 model also comes in the same colour as the 2025 model. To put it more simply, if the old c2 came in the colour called gunmetal, the 2025 c2 comes in both black and gunmetal. I don't quite remember if the old model had a type c cable.
If I didn't see the black colour, I probably wouldn't be able to tell which one is old or new. They say the 2025 has more bass, but I haven't tried it, so I can't say for sure.

- what is the price of the iems and where did I order them from?
the c2 cost approximately 40 dollar and I ordered them from tinhifi with a review discount. I have no affiliation with the brand other than the discount applied to the c2 model, and my honesty is not for sale, which I will reiterate at the end of this article.
- note about the rating:
somewhere between 3 and 3,5.Since I have to add a rating here, I'm marking it as 3,5 because it's closer to 3,5 than 3.
- box contents:
compared to the iems I've reviewed recently, the c2 comes in a rather smll box with no frills. I believe that frills in budget iems can sometimes detract from the overll sound quality. The iems come with a pair of silicone tips attached, and instead of including a separate piece of paper for quality control, a note has been placed at the bottom of the box. Well done, tinhifi, no need for paper waste. The box contains the following:
- iems,
- mediocre quality cable,
- warranty card,
- document resembling a user manual but not actully one, probably included for company promotion or something similar,
- total of 6 pairs of silicone tips.

- build quality;
i have said that most iems I've come across recently are good because it's 2025 now, and I don't think poorly built iems can survive in the market, but the situation is different here. This is probably the best build I've seen in this price range, which is why it's been a model I've been keeping an eye on for a long time.
Let me add a smll note here. Some say that these iems, whose best feature is their build quality, are a copy of the design found in another expensive pair. It's not something I dwell on much because I know first-hand that in 2025, some brands, whether expensive or cheap, use the same iems shell. I've even seen loads of brands that paint the same shell and sell it in budget models. The shell is the same; they just put their brand driver in, adjust it, and release it to the market. Some are almost identical in terms of driver and tuning, meaning they don't even bother. Ultimately, costs go down. By the way, what I'm talking about isn't cloning something unethiclly, but companies using the same shells.
moving on to the construction, the iems are made from aviation-grade cnc, but because of the weight, I couldn't help but wonder if it was steel. Maybe it's not that heavy, but you can still feel it in your hand. The iems shell cover is screw-type; it's been ages since I've seen one of those. I'm struggling not to take the iems apart; they look so nice. There's also a rather stylish ventilation hole between the screws. Actully, it looks nicer in other colours than black, but I chose black so that if I ever review the plain c2, there won't be any confusion.
there's nothing more to say here, I absolutely loved the design of the c2.

- cable quality;
we talked about the good things in terms of build quality, but here it's the complete opposite. poor cable; the product description says it's a good quality cable, but that's not the case. The only good thing about the cable for me is that the end is l-shaped. The joints of the thin cable are fine, but I don't like this type of cable. I'm not saying it's as bad as a kz cable, but iem in this price range should come with a better cable.

- sound quality;
we have praised it nicely in some places, but there's also a downside. the iems generlly use a balanced setting or a setting close to balanced. the bass is boosted and, while not quite neutral, is close to it. i generlly find the balanced setting boring. the overll sound character of these iems may seem reasonable to people new to iems, but someone who has spent some time with iems will notice the shortcomings. nyway, let's get into the details;
- bass;
there's plenty of volume here, and body too. If you're not an extreme bass lover, I think it will satisfy you. The speed is average too; sometimes it bleeds a bit, but if you want voluminous bass at this price point, I think the slight bleeding is forgivable. I don't want to get into sharpness and such because we're talking about a 40 dollar pair of iems. It might not be fair to criticise them harshly; the bass is good for the price.
- mid-range frequencies;
the bass and treble seem to lag slightly behind, male vocals sound a bit duller than female vocals. some instruments lack a bit of body, the same applies to vocals but it's not as noticeable. there's a slight thinness here, which I don't like. For a more natural sound, I prefer the note weight to be slightly thicker.
- treble;
The treble here is quite good in terms of density, even if it doesn't extend too far; you can feel that density in your ears. They play quite clearly, even if not very detailed. As I mentioned regarding the bass, there is enough treble without expecting too much.

- resolution;
this is the most serious issue with the c2. There are much better iems the 40 dollar price range. I think most models in the 20-25 dollar range probably have similar resolution to the c2.
- soundstage and imaging;
- I'd say it's average; the soundstage doesn't feel too narrow or too wide. It lacks a bit of depth, and the sound tends to be a bit superficial. Sometimes it struggles to pinpoint the positions of instruments.
That's about it for the sound; the most noticeable issue is the resolution. Apart from that, I'd say it's an average pair of iems overll, except for the bass.
-comfort;
if we disregard its light weight, I didn't experience any issues with the construction. lthough I did experience a very minor pressure issue, this is likely specific to my personal usage situation, and I don't think it will be a problem for most of you. It is inherently weak in terms of mechanical noise isolation because it is a dynamic driver iems with ventilation holes.
in terms of sound comfort, depending on your sensitivity to treble, it can sometimes be a bit bothersome; the intensity in the treble range isn't exactly restful.

- conclusion;
if you are new to iems, the sound character will likely be sufficient for you, but if you have spent time with high-end audio equipment before, the low resolution may be a bit bothersome. In terms of build quality, for 30 dollar these are perhaps the best iems I have seen, but I cannot say the same for sound quality.
Notes;
i mentioned that I ordered the c2 from Tinhifi with a review discount. I have no other connection to the brand. They only applied the discount for the c2, and I thank them for that. That's ll; I have no other affiliation. s always, I've written honestly and without bias. I'm including the c2 s review link below for those who are curious.
