Late 2025 was a time of the year loaded with many surprises and big releases. 𝐓𝐑𝐍 had a bullet kept in its chamber to delight us with its latest flagship.
We were all surprised by its driver configuration and a striking aesthetic inspired, once again, in marine elements. 𝑨𝒇𝒕𝒆𝒓 𝑺𝒕𝒂𝒓𝒇𝒊𝒔𝒉 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑾𝒉𝒂𝒍𝒆 𝑺𝒉𝒂𝒓𝒌, of lower ranges, they left a very good taste in my mouth in general lines.

-Two shells.
-Cable with 0.78mm terminations and 3.5mm connection (4.4mm option selectable)
-Case for storage and transport.
-Five sets of ear tips of different materials with SML sizes.
-User manual.

𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐭, 𝐝𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧:
From this new batch of maritime models from TRN, I think it is the one that has the best fit in my ear of all the ones I have tried. Despite having a considerable weight and medium-large size, I did not experience the problems that I had with Whale Shark and Starfish, which came out of my ears while being in movement.
The ergonomics are satisfactory, it adapts correctly to my auditory pavilion, without pressing in any area.
The nozzle has correct length and width and the ear tips, which I like a lot, I perceive them as quality, applying a really satisfactory seal and hold.
As for the cable, personally I did not like it much at first moment, but I got used to it with the passing of the hours and the days.
It looks very reliable, very resistant, but that it is flat does not help it to not acquire strange shapes if you are walking or doing sport. I would use it without doubt as a desktop cable.
The preformed ear hooks hold the whole set perfectly and the slider is very consistent, really difficult to move once fixed.
As for the construction, TRN until now has shown me that its quality standards are very well cared for, using really good materials such as reinforced resin and metal that leave no space to imperfections or bad fit of the different pieces coupled in the shell.

𝐓𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐚𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐬:
-Configuration of 1DD of 10mm + 2MP + 1BA.
-Impedance of 32 ohms.
-Sensitivity of 109 dB/mW.
-Response 20hz-40khz.
𝐏𝐚𝐢𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠:
It is not extremely demanding, but it does appreciate and scale with a powerful source and some extra amplification, specifically at medium levels.
Studying the performance of this IEM has been somewhat strange, because depending on the type of source that I used I could say some things or others.
Neutral sources pushed the mids forward, in such a way that this range gained in presence, frontality and resolution, but lost presence in the sub-bass.
With warm sources, obviously, the rumble grew considerably, as well as the impact of the bass, but I could feel how the upper mids and treble reached a bit more of energy.

𝐒𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝 𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞:
It presents a moderate U tuning: bass with very good body, mids slightly recessed but clean and extended treble. The whole seeks impact and clarity at the same time, with an airy stage that prioritizes spectacularity over absolute neutrality.
♪ 𝕊𝕦𝕓-𝕓𝕒𝕤𝕤: Deep and with good extension, it provides vibration and atmosphere in your listens. It is not the most textured on the market, but it delivers a convincing physical base really powerful.
♪ 𝔹𝕒𝕤𝕤: Round, with fast punch and good control. It gives a sense of energy without smearing too much, although in complex passages it can gain more protagonism than desirable.
♫ 𝕃𝕠𝕨𝕖𝕣 𝕞𝕚𝕕𝕤: They provide warmth and weight to the instruments. On occasions they are a bit eclipsed by the bass, which takes protagonism away from some sound elements.
♫ 𝕄𝕚𝕕𝕤: Relatively clear and well defined, although moderately delayed in front of bass and treble. They maintain good cleanliness, but they do not seek a close or frontal presentation.
♫ 𝕌𝕡𝕡𝕖𝕣 𝕞𝕚𝕕𝕤: They have good presence and provide brightness to voices and instruments. Sometimes they brush an extra energy that enhances details, although it can become somewhat incisive.
𝕋𝕣𝕖𝕓𝕝𝕖: Extended and airy thanks to the planar drivers. They offer a good sensation of resolution and sparkle, although in bright recordings they can stand out more than what some could tolerate.
𝕍𝕠𝕔𝕒𝕝𝕤: The low male ones sound with body and certain softness. The normal male ones are perceived clear, although somewhat delayed and thin. The female ones stand out more, with good projection and brightness, sometimes brushing a somewhat intense presence but clearly natural.
𝕊𝕠𝕦𝕟𝕕𝕤𝕥𝕒𝕘𝕖: Wide and with good sensation of lateral opening, creating an enveloping space. It is not gigantic, but yes sufficiently spaced to feel a pleasant stage.
𝕀𝕞𝕒𝕘𝕚𝕟𝕘: The localization of sounds is stable. It allows to follow instruments and effects with ease, although I cannot state that it is extremely precise.
𝕃𝕒𝕪𝕖𝕣𝕚𝕟𝕘: Capable of separating sound layers with quite a lot of order. In dense passages it maintains a comprehensible and logical structure, although it can lose some cleanliness when everything sounds at the same time.
𝔻𝕖𝕥𝕒𝕚𝕝 𝕣𝕖𝕥𝕣𝕚𝕖𝕧𝕒𝕝: Good for its category, highlighting micro-details in treble and textures. It is not excessively analytical, but yes sufficiently revealing for an entertaining listening.

Always looking for the most cinematic experience possible, testing in narrative and intensive action titles. Check my blog to see the specific games and the conditions of the analysis of audio in videogames. Source used FiiO K11 with filter nº3 (warm-neutral and extended treble roll off) and gain on medium.
★ 𝔸𝕔𝕥𝕚𝕠𝕟: Hits, explosions and impact effects feel powerful and enveloping, providing physical emotion. The bass adds tension without becoming a constant cloud. The sensation of emotion is highly gratifying.
★ 𝔻𝕚𝕒𝕝𝕠𝕘𝕦𝕖𝕤: Voices are heard clear and natural, although quite separated from the environment. They are not always focused, but they maintain correct intelligibility even in loaded scenes.
★ 𝕀𝕞𝕞𝕖𝕣𝕤𝕚𝕠𝕟: Environmental sounds, echoes and small details are perceived with richness, creating a believable environment. The airy character helps to feel wide and lively spaces.
★ 𝕃𝕒𝕪𝕖𝕣 𝕤𝕖𝕡𝕒𝕣𝕒𝕥𝕚𝕠𝕟: Effects, music and voices are distinguished with quite ease. In very saturated scenes there can be a slight overlap, although it rarely becomes confusing, avoiding ruining the experience.
★ 𝕊𝕥𝕒𝕘𝕖: The stage offers sensation of depth and width, favoring narrative and exploration. It is not a gigantic theater that perfectly represents large open spaces, but yes sufficiently expansive to immerse and not notice incoherent distances.
★ 𝕊𝕚𝕓𝕚𝕝𝕒𝕟𝕔𝕖: Generally controlled, although in very bright voices or effects a not very pleasant touch can appear. It is not usually annoying, but it is noticeable if you pay attention or have the volume too high.
★ ℙ𝕠𝕤𝕚𝕥𝕚𝕠𝕟𝕚𝕟𝕘: The placement of sounds in space is sufficiently reliable, making it easier to locate footsteps, shots or directional effects. It is not of ultra precision, but it is convincing.

Arrived at this point, 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙥𝙧𝙞𝙘𝙚 𝙞𝙨 𝙦𝙪𝙞𝙩𝙚 𝙝𝙞𝙜𝙝. It is an investment of which you have to be sure and be able to try this new set of monitors from TRN by yourself before undertaking the purchase.
Despite this, its sound depending on the 𝙘𝙝𝙖𝙧𝙖𝙘𝙩𝙚𝙧 𝙤𝙛 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙪𝙨𝙚𝙙 𝙨𝙤𝙪𝙧𝙘𝙚 is changeable. It is not something that I am saying lightly, I have spent quite a lot of time with this set, alternating my listens with other IEMs to see if that sensation was going to leave my head before being able to write this analysis with the necessary security and firmness to make sure that I am expressing everything just as I perceive it.
I could recommend these monitors mainly if their 𝙥𝙧𝙞𝙘𝙚 𝙬𝙚𝙧𝙚 𝙩𝙤 𝙗𝙚 𝙧𝙚𝙙𝙪𝙘𝙚𝙙 so that it would be in consonance with the technical and dynamic capabilities that I experienced and that I consider to be their fair price. I could also direct my recommendations to those who had several types of sources, in order to be able to exploit and taste both faces of this product.
That said, it is a set that has 𝙢𝙖𝙙𝙚 𝙢𝙚 𝙫𝙞𝙗𝙧𝙖𝙩𝙚 in any of the situations in which it has been examined: it has excellent performance and scaling with the power applied on it, it can be an overwhelmingly energetic IEM, skipping any regulation or audiophile norm in order to make you jump, make you feel, encourage you, in short, and that is noticeable in powerful bass slightly bleeding into higher frequencies or crunchy treble overflowing with information.
Also, as I want to express to you, it can have a balanced character, where the mids appear with naturalness and clarity, without losing much of that spicy treble and high-treble detail or corpulence down below.
𝙄 𝙘𝙤𝙪𝙡𝙙 𝙝𝙖𝙫𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙢 𝙤𝙣 𝙢𝙮 𝙙𝙚𝙨𝙠 𝙥𝙚𝙧𝙛𝙚𝙘𝙩𝙡𝙮 and with a stationary DAC/AMP go changing presets, filters or different PEQ configurations. Mermaid is very grateful in this aspect.
𝑹𝒆𝒄𝒐𝒎𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒅𝒂𝒃𝒍𝒆 𝒇𝒐𝒓: fans of playing with different equalizations and/or sources, its strong point is electronic and metal. For intense action single player videogames or not very wide spaces.
𝑵𝒐𝒕 𝒓𝒆𝒄𝒐𝒎𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒅𝒂𝒃𝒍𝒆 𝒇𝒐𝒓: people who need a set for everything, classical and vocals or videogames where narrative dialogues predominate.

This set of monitors has been sent by 𝐓𝐑𝐍. I thank from the heart the opportunity to be able to try one of their products at no cost and that no condition has been imposed at the time of making this analysis.
Despite this, my priority is to be as impartial as possible within the subjectivity that analyzing an audio product entails. My opinion only belongs to me and I develop it around the perception of my ears. If you have a different one, it is just as valid. Please, feel free to share it.
