INTRODUCTION:
CCA, once a sub brand of KZ is now an independent company with one motto in mind of providing high quality sound for cheap bucks. The tuning of CCA feels refined over the KZ in general producing a mature and cohesive sound. There are favourites of mine from CCA in budget namely Phoenix, Polaris, CRA etc and today we have the new release named Xyraa in our hands and in this review let’s check how good is this against the competition and sound in general.

BASS PROFILE:
- Xyraa represents an emphasized sub bass with an impactful mid bass that keeps the notes full bodied yet maintaining the clarity.
- The elevated sub bass is noticeable when the bass guitar drops and stays in the moment for quite some time leaving an impression.
- The snappy attack and decay paves way for a cleaner mid bass section that allowed the kick drums to take up its presence.
- The clear distinct line is seen between these two frequencies which enables the Xyraa to deliver a congestion free overall listen.
MID SECTION:
- Despite its mild V shaped curve, the vocals are presented nice and forward for an engaging overall listen.
- The cleaner bass profile gives the needed note separation for the mid-section enabling a clutter free presentation.
- Male vocals with enough warmth sound fuller with natural tone providing realistic experience to the listeners.
- The upper mid elevation feels aggressive with noticeable spikes in the top end appearing spicy at times especially with complex high-pitched tracks.
- Despite its aggressiveness this does gives the females vocals a touch of vividness for a sparkly outlook.
TREBLE:
- A clean and an extended treble is seen with Xyraa and all thanks to its customised BA.
- Though with spikes in the upper mid, the treble however is executed well showcasing immense brightness.
- The percussion instruments take up their respective places with natural timbre despite the use of BA which is known for its metallic taste.
- For the most part, the sibilance is well under control, but occasional sharp spikes are seen due to the aggressive upper mid profile.
TECHNICALITIES:

DETAIL RETRIEVAL:
Xyraa extracts the essential nuances with ease showcasing moderate technical aspects for its price. The hybrid configuration helps the Xyraa in representing an elevated layering and a faster transient response.
TONALITY AND TIMBRE: A natural tonality is seen here with a tint of warmth to add up a bit of fun in the character.

VERDICT:
Xyraa, from the house of Concept Clear Audio (CCA) configuration incorporates a hybrid configuration (1DD + 1BA) delivers a mild V shaped signature with a sub bass and upper mid boost for a vivid listening experience. The minimalistic design language is expressed with its ABS clear shell and a shiny alloy faceplate for a striking look at the first sight. The average SPC cable does the job and completes the package since an upgrade cable won’t bring anything extra in terms of sound other than aesthetics. The stock ear tips however need a quick change for an optimum sonic output.
The mild V shaped signature with sub bass and upper mid boost out of Xyraa sounds like its competitors in the segment. The magic pulled out by the CCA here is with its BA! Extracting a natural tone without a metallic taste using a BA in budget is something that should be appreciated! The goodness of both the worlds is neatly laid out here with its spectacular bass control and treble extension.
The snappy bass profile with sub bass emphasis gives Xyraa a cleaner outlook throughout its presentation. The sub bass drops, locks in the session giving an ethereal presence to the listener with proper kick drum attack. This paved way for a clutter free mid profile that stands forward with its natural vocals for an elevated listening. Enough warmth is observed in the lower mid profile which provides the male vocals adequate body to represent a fuller presentation. The treble extension is neatly done showing immense brightness and vivid character in the top end which is taken care by the customised BA.
Despite its positive output, the upper mid elevation has noticeable spike that interrupts the cymbal crashes and sharp female vocals making them sound slightly uncomfortable. This is a common issue seen with most of the budget BA’s! The complexity of tuning this in a budget makes the brand unquestionable by the listeners. These are track specific (eg: Complex tracks like MR. BRIGHTSIDE) and for the most part, the Xyraa executes everything smooth with its pleasing yet a dynamic sound profile.
However, bringing out the synchronization between the drivers (DD + BA) in this budget by CCA is an applaudable effort. The above average detail retrieval by BA and a dynamic profile brought out by DD makes this Xyraa an unique option to be considered.
