DESIGN AND BUILD
These IEMs are quite large and look solid, made entirely of metal, with GENESIS inscription on the front panel.

They feature a standard 2-pin connector for connecting the cable, and have marked with left and right channels and the model name G318s.

If you turn them over, you will notice a small Elysian Fields logo on the back panel.

And if you look closely, there is a tiny compensation hole next to the nozzle, which does its job well.

The nozzle itself is 3 mm long, 6 mm in diameter, and has a raised rim for more secure eartips attachment, and was protected by a thin metal mesh.

FIT AND COMFORT
Even though these IEMs are pretty big, they fit perfectly in my ears. Seriously, they're super comfy for me, like they were made just for me. They fit snugly in my ears and provide awesome sound isolation.

STOCK CABLE
When I first saw the stock cable, I thought, wow, it looks really good! It makes a pleasant visual impression and seems to be of high quality, but unfortunately, my impressions during use were not so clear-cut. When connecting to IEM, I quickly noticed that this cable is not the most convenient for me, as it tends to get tangled, and its ear hooks do not hold their shape well and require constant adjustment....oh....so I found myself constantly adjusting it, which started to distract me from listening, which, in my opinion, is not very good. Therefore, if you are as sensitive to comfort as I am, I would definitely recommend considering replacing the standard cable, and I will tell you which cables are worth paying attention to now!

PENON APEX
Switching to the PENON APEX cable completely changed my impression of these IEM. First of all, it is simply much more comfortable to use, it does not get tangled, the ear hooks hold their shape well, and once the IEM are on, there is no need to constantly adjust them. You just put them on and forget about the cable, which already makes a big difference, but what really surprised me was how noticeably the sound changed. With the PENON APEX, this IEM start to sound fuller and more dynamic. The bass gains extra weight and power, becoming more physical and exciting, and the overall sound seems more energetic and emotionally engaging. The music draws you in more, it has more drive, more energy, and more of that “wow factor” that keeps you listening.... In my case, this cable not only solved the comfort issues associated with the stock cable, but also helped reveal a more lively and exciting side to the IEM, so for me, the switch to PENON APEX was absolutely justified, and I definitely recommend you try it.....

PENON ASOS+
But with the PENON ASOS+ cable, the GENESIS G318s reveals itself from a completely different angle. After APEX, the sound feels noticeably lighter and freer, with more transparency and a sense of open space. The music seems to “breathe” more deeply, there is more air between the instruments, and the overall presentation is perceived as cleaner and more refined. Although, of course, the bass here is not as accentuated and physical as with APEX, it becomes faster and more accurate, freeing up space for the midrange and upper range. The midrange sounds more open, the details are easier to hear, and the high frequencies feel more extended and airy, without harshness or unnecessary emphasis. This gives the sound a very interesting character, less aggressive but more transparent and atmospheric... wow!
And i think the PENON ASOS+ gives the GENESIS G318s a completely different mood. It's not about impact and drive, like with the APEX, but about lightness, air, and a sense of space. And what's especially nice is that this character suits these IEM perfectly, showing how flexibly they respond to a change in cable. For me, the ASOS+ has become an excellent alternative when I want a lighter, airier, and more analytical presentation, and I think it really suits the GENESIS G318s very well....

TUNING AND CONCEPTION
Okay, and this is what the frequency response graph for the EarAcoustic Audio G318s looks like. Here we see an 11 dB boost in the low frequencies with a very smooth and well-executed transition to the lower midrange, followed by a neat transition to the upper midrange with a clear emphasis on 3 kHz, which is right on target for me and remains at a comfortable level. But then I was pleasantly surprised by the high frequencies, because for dynamic IEM this is a really amazing result, as the high frequencies stretch far up and only begin to fade smoothly after 16 kHz, which is an excellent result. Thanks to this, the sound is very transparent and airy. It is definitely not dark, but not bright either. The balance here is absolutely perfect for my taste, but now let's move on to a more detailed analysis of how all this feels in practice in music!

SOUND IMPRESSIONS
LOW FREQUENCIES
The low frequencies in the GENESIS G318s are noticeable almost immediately, but not aggressively or like bassheavy, on the contrary, from the very first notes, there is a feeling of confidence and balance, as if the bass knows exactly how much space it should occupy and never goes beyond those boundaries. It does not try to dominate or overwhelm, but firmly holds the entire sound, giving the music weight, stability, and a very pleasant feeling of drive.
The sub-bass is deep and remains impressively clean, rolling in smoothly and evenly, without rumble or blurring. You can clearly feel its depth, but it never turns into pressure or fatigue, making long listening sessions incredibly comfortable. And from this deep foundation, the mid-bass flows very naturally, adding punch and physicality exactly where it's needed. The attack is quick and confident, the punches are clearly defined, and there is a pleasant sense of energy and attack that makes the music lively and engaging.
And what I really like here is the level of control. The bass is tight, well-textured, and very disciplined. You can easily follow its shape, feel its dynamics, and sense how it interacts with the rest of the frequency range rather than fighting for attention. There is no muddiness, no excessive warmth, just a clean, crisp, and very thoughtful low end that supports the sound rather than coloring it....
This is definitely not a bass for true bassheads, but it is a bass that feels full and mature. It has depth, punch, texture, and drive, while remaining incredibly balanced. And I definitely think that this amount of low frequency will be more than enough for the vast majority of listeners, because it gives you everything you need, power, clarity, and emotion, without going overboard....
MID FREQUENCIES
The midrange frequencies in the GENESIS G318s are perceived as a natural continuation of the controlled low-frequency foundation, and almost immediately you notice how open and easy everything sounds around you... wow! There is a moderate amount of energy here, enough to keep the music lively and engaging, but never so much that it becomes intrusive or aggressive. On the contrary, the midrange is perceived as dense, rich, and very expressive, but at the same time surprisingly light and free, as if nothing is holding it back....
And the more you listen, the more you feel the carefully added warmth, which adds volume and realism, especially to the vocals, making the voices sound full, natural, and incredibly present, sitting right in front of you, but not too close. And you literally notice that the male voices have weight and depth, while the female voices are clear and airy, with a beautiful balance between emotional richness and clarity. Nothing seems colored or exaggerated, everything just sounds right.
But what really stands out is the amount of air and transparency. The midrange seems almost “breathable”, with an impressive sense of space around each instrument. Details are easy to pick up, microtextures are clearly audible, but the sound never becomes dry or clinical. There's no need to strain to analyze anything, the information is simply there, presented so naturally that it's as if the music is unfolding before you piece by piece....
Overall, the midrange here feels open, transparent, and extremely clear, combining warmth, airiness, and precision in a way that, frankly, is addictive. Everything seems close, tangible, and easy to perceive, creating that rare feeling when music isn't just playing somewhere in the background, but is right next to you, clear, free, and full of life!
HIGH FREQUENCIES
The high frequencies in the GENESIS G318s unfold gradually, but the longer you listen, the clearer it becomes how much is actually happening in the upper range... they are very detailed and technically confident, but never draw artificial attention to themselves. There is no sense of brightness for brightness' sake, and at the same time they are far from dark or muted. On the contrary, the high frequencies sound mature, natural, and extremely balanced, and I definitely like this new approach to tuning, it literally changes the rules of the game.
But i am particularly impressed by the clarity and controllability of the sound. The cymbals have a realistic shimmer without sharp edges, the upper harmonics are clearly defined, and the small microdetails stand out naturally from the mix rather than coming to the fore. And so it turns out that you hear the texture of the sounds, their decay, their airiness, but nothing seems overly exaggerated or strained. All the necessary information is there, but it is available when you focus on it, without interrupting the musical flow... that's very cool!
I also appreciate the very subtle feeling of airiness and openness in the presentation of this range, the high frequencies breathe, giving the sound space and lightness, and this plays a huge role in the overall transparency of the presentation. This helps the instruments to separate easily from each other, adds depth to the soundstage, and preserves the clarity and organization of complex arrangements. And even in dense tracks, the upper range never descends into chaos, it remains balanced, legible, and smooth.
And perhaps most importantly, this tuning is not fatiguing. You can listen for hours, moving from track to track, without feeling tired or overwhelmed. There is no harshness, no metallic glare, no peaks that suddenly distract you from the music. Everything flows naturally, and the high frequencies simply complement the sound rather than dominate it....
As a result, the high frequencies in the GENESIS G318s are perceived as the final piece of a carefully crafted puzzle. They provide detail, technicality, and airiness, but do so in a restrained and confident manner. This is the kind of high frequencies that allow you to enjoy music for as long as you want without fatigue, only clarity, balance, and a very pleasant feeling of fullness....
SOUNDSTAGE AND SPACE
The soundstage in the GENESIS G318s unfolds very naturally and calmly, without trying to immediately impress or surprise with its scale, and that is precisely why it seems so right. From the very first minutes, there is a feeling of space, where everything is arranged logically and clearly, the soundstage does not press down or stretch artificially, but simply unfolds neatly in width, leaving enough air and freedom for each sound....
And as you listen, you begin to pay more and more attention to the depth, because that is what plays a key role here. The sounds do not line up in a single plane, but deepen, creating a sense of volume and layers, thanks to which the music is perceived as live and three-dimensional. At the same time, the soundstage remains very clean and easy to read, without overload or chaos, even when the compositions become more complex and saturated.
And thanks to this structure, the localization feels as natural as possible. You can easily understand where each instrument is, where the vocals are, what is happening closer and what is further away, and all this is perceived intuitively, without the need to listen carefully or analyze. This is exactly the kind of space that doesn't require attention, because it just works, allowing you to focus on the music itself, which is the most important thing!
As a result, the soundstage in the GENESIS G318 is perceived as extremely comfortable and correct. It is wide, deep, and at the same time as natural as possible, with excellent localization and clear space, which makes listening to music easy and enjoyable and makes you want to do it again and again, without thinking about the technical side, but simply immersing yourself in the sound...
COMPARISONS
Okay, now i'll start with how the GENESIS G318s compare to the hybrid ddHiFi Surface. I really liked the Surface for their warm and smooth presentation, the music seems to envelop you, their bass is quite powerful, the mids are delivered with moderate energy, and they have darkened smooth highs, which makes the sound very pleasant and cozy, nothing is tiring, and you want to listen for a long time. But against this backdrop, the EarAcoustic GENESIS G318s immediately reveal a different character. They sound much more technical, transparent, and lively. While the Surface creates a feeling of comfort and wholeness, the G318s are more about clarity, speed, and clear separation of planes. The bass here is more focused and precise, the midrange is clear, and the soundstage is wider. As a result, the Surface feels more intimate and warm, while the GENESIS feels more open and analytical, with more obvious dynamics and energy....

Then I compared the GENESIS G318s with the Moondrop Blessing 3. The Blessing 3 sounds lighter and more monitoring-oriented, with a slightly dry sound and a clear emphasis on the midrange. The sound is energetic and quite clean, but the bass is more restrained, and overall the sound seems a little sparse and analytical, and I definitely miss the low frequencies when listening, and after a while this setting starts to tire me out. On the one hand, everything seems quite accurate, but there is less weight and emotional drive...The GENESIS G318s definitely seem more balanced and natural. They have noticeably more bass and impact, more drive, and a stronger sense of dynamics. The midrange sounds fuller and more realistic, and the highs are more technical and confident, but without additional brightness, and the more I listen, the more I realize that the G318s seem fuller and more engaging, combining cool precision with emotionality, while the Blessing 3, in comparison, remain drier and more monitoring-oriented....

Yeah..now finally, let's compare them with Tanchjim Origin, which are in roughly the same price range and are also dynamic IEM. Origin has a fairly light, dry sound, without excessive bass, with an emphasis on transparency and neutrality, almost reminiscent of Blessing 3 in character, but with a slightly different profile. Compared to the Origin, the GENESIS G318s sound much more technical, bassier, and more energetic. The Origin has soft and accurate low frequencies, clear but somewhat detached mids, and highs that are sometimes a little restrained, while the G318s deliver richer bass, dense mids, and a lively presentation across the entire range. It's as if the Origin invites you to listen carefully, while the GENESIS draws you into the music, giving you a sense of drive and rhythm. In this respect, the G318s are the clear winners, with a sound that is not only more detailed but also more emotional, with more obvious dynamics and involvement.....

MY FINAL CONCLUSION!
The EARACOUSTIC AUDIO GENESIS G318s are dynamic IEM that really surprised me and won me over from the first listen. At $249, they sound too good and are very competitive even against hybrid models, because they deliver a truly technical, detailed, and lively sound. And perhaps they are one of the best options in this price range right now? Seriously! Yeah! But that's exactly how I feel. I also really like EarAcoustic's new approach to tuning, which has become noticeably more mature and balanced, and I sincerely hope that the company will continue to move in this direction....
